t-56

hey guys quick question hopefully someone can answer cause i cannot find it. a t-56 from a firebird is exactly like the one from a camaro right? even down to the push-pull clutch difference that the camaro switched right?

how about torque numbers? i know the 93 camaro t56 is rated at 50 lbft of torque less than its successor. any help here? i found a t56 for a good price but its from a firebird... just double checking on my info.

Re: t-56

There is not difference at all between Firebird and Camaro T56s ,Although there is a difference between LT1 and LS1 T56s.

The '93 M28 is rated at 360lb-ft
The '93 M29 is rated at 400lb-ft
The '94-'97 MM6 are rated at 450lb-ft

These are all "warranty" ratings, and the T56s are known to handle quite a bit more.
