Transmission issue

Okay late june I broke my transmission, now I need a new one. I have a 1992 305 v8 firebird and would perhaps like to put a 700r4 or a 4l80e transmission in there. The issue is I dont know which one to choose for my application and even if the 4l80e is compatiable...My application will be daily driving for now but by this coming summer im going to garage this car and put a rebuilt 454 along with some other horsepower boosting trinkets.

Re: Transmission issue

the 4l80 is freaking huge and will take quite a bit of effort and fab work to fit. The 700r4 is what you have now.

Why not just have yours rebuilt?
