85 t/a trans pan torque specs

can anybody tell me what the torque specs are for the trans apn on my 85's automatic trans? it leaks and i want to torque them before i replace the gasket, only if necessary.

They are very small bolts, so something just beyond hand tight is good, just like steel valve covers. If there is a torque spec, it will be measured in in-lbs.

When using the cork and rubber gaskets, tighten to 65-70 inch pounds and tighten "once" only. With the Duraprene gasket tighten to 70-80 inch pounds. Add a pan magnet if you do not already have one. Most "so called" pan gasket leaks are not the pan gasket, but leaks from TV cable top hat seal, dipstick tube top hat seal, manual lever seal, or the speedometer seal.
