700R4 feels loose

The 700R4 that is in my camaro just feels really loose. Like when i smash the gas is doesn't pull like i think it should, it revs really high, waits a second, and then feels like it drops into gear. Im not saying there is a problem other than a 20 year old tranny, but i just feel like i am losing a lot of power through my transmission. Could my plates be slipping? what can i do to give my tranny a stiffer feel? thanks

Re: 700R4 feels loose

Start with a shift kit, other than Trans-Go, but realize that it could kill an already dying trans. Most of these kits raise the line pressure. Trans-Go's doesn't.

Re: 700R4 feels loose

Could be to much clearance between clutch plates due to clutch plate wear
