The rear end test ??

im pretty sure i got burnt on buying a supposibley posi-rearend out of a 86 iroc z28 with the 350 tpi "he said" i seen the car it was a iroc z28. I bought the rearend he said was posi. The numbers are 2hd 176 1 i lookedit up it said 2:73, i think? Anyways when you turn the wheels out the ground you turn them one goes one way one goes the other way, anyone know what i have i tried finding the thread on here inestead of asking but i couldnt find it, thanks yall I have been to the forum that talks about the rearend i cant find how you test it?

I know that some people will not allow you to remove the cover before paying for a rear end, but that is the only way to know exactly what you are getting. Numbers on the housing are not always reliable because someone could have changed parts.
