I just got an aluminum driveshaft for my 89 out of a 2001 Camaro I believe, when I replace the u-joints do I use the u-joints for a 2001 Camaro or the u-joints for an 89 Camaro with an aluminum driveshaft. Thanks.
The aluminum driveshaft uses a different u-joint than the steel driveshaft. If the aluminum driveshaft came with the tranny slip yoke then there's no problem at that end. You'll probably need a conversion u-joint to attach the driveshaft to the diff or a different yoke on the diff.

Does anyone that has done the conversion have some part numbers for me? If it makes a difference I'm putting in a rear-end out of a 2000 Camaro at the same time. Thanks.
