Engine: 5.7 goodwrench edelbrock everything
Transmission: t-5 stage 2 clutch
Axle/Gears: 3.27 posi

82 ta rear end swap 10 bolt to 9 bolt help

ok heres the deal i have an 82 trans am and i just swaped in a 86 trans am 9 bolt disc brake rear end in and the fitting for the brake line is different should i get an adapter?if so does anyone know the thread pitch?do i need to change the proportioning valve over from the 86 or will the treads be different to?

82-83 (and perhaps 84) have SAE threads, later models metric.

You will need to change the proportioning valve and make sure you get the parking brakee cables from the 9-bolt. The present 10-bolt ones will not fit.
