Where gearing and the rear end in general are concerned, there is no difference (Both are 10-bolts with 28-spline axles). The auto 3.1 came standard with 3.23's, the 5.7 with G92 came with 3.23's as well.

Re: 3.23 rear end

does this make my RS posi traction?
G80 is on my Z28 buildsheet but I have not as of yet looked
for my buildsheet for the RS or checked the SPID
could it be possible one has posi and the other does not
even though they are both 3.23 gears?

Re: 3.23 rear end

please explain how the posi-traction enters in to the 3.23
i figure there must be some difference between the RS 3.23 rear
and the Z28 3.23 rear with posi

Re: 3.23 rear end

The posi rear has a posi carrier installed, the open rear has an open carrier installed.
