a complete amateur mechanic I am
curious -I have two 91 Camaros
both according to vin decoders have 3.23 rears
what is the difference between my
91 Z28 5.7 B2L G92 N10 posi-traction
and the other one in my 91 RS 3.1 V6?

Where gearing and the rear end in general are concerned, there is no difference (Both are 10-bolts with 28-spline axles). The auto 3.1 came standard with 3.23's, the 5.7 with G92 came with 3.23's as well.

does this make my RS posi traction?
G80 is on my Z28 buildsheet but I have not as of yet looked
for my buildsheet for the RS or checked the SPID
could it be possible one has posi and the other does not
even though they are both 3.23 gears?
please explain how the posi-traction enters in to the 3.23
i figure there must be some difference between the RS 3.23 rear
and the Z28 3.23 rear with posi
i'd like to see that job explained
i may be an amateur although I did
install a straight six 250 in a g10 chevy van
through the passenger door under the dash
with the tranny in place all by myself 25 years ago
