I'm trying to figure out which line on the tranny, the top or bottom, is the inlet and outlet. I heard the bottom line on the radiator is the inlet and the top is the outlet. Is this the same for the tranny?

The bottom line on tranny is pressure feed out to bottom of radiator. The top tranny line is return feed from radiator

To add to the question....does it really matter if you hook the pressure feed to the bottom or top of the radiator?

The cooler is filled from the bottom to prevent aeration.

Im going to run the fluid thru the radiator and the aftermarket cooler. So I need to come out the bottom of the tranny to the bottom of the radiator, out the top of the radiator, to the bottom of the cooler, out the top of the cooler, back to the top side of the tranny?

For what it's worth, I think running to an air-liquid cooler is more efficient that to a liquid-liquid coller. Therefore, I'd run to the aftermarket cooler first. this is especially true if you place it in nearly unobstructed air stream. However, both will work.

Personally, I tend to subscibe to the idea that the ideal transmission fluid temperature is should be close to normal engine coolant temperature, so I'd put the auxilliary cooler first.

The cooler is a derale cooler with a fan and 180 degree thermostat. Does it make a difference having the fan on the cooler on which one to go through first?
