But it will bolt up to the engine though then or did you have to get a different bellhousing or something

No, a Corvette T56 doesn't bolt to the engine, it bolts to the transaxle.

The Corvette T-56 bolts to the transaxle and therefore won't install in one of these cars.
The F-body LT1 T-56 bolts in fairly easily. That's what I have in mine. Has the disadvantage of requiring the unique pull-style clutch.
The F-body LS1 T-56 can be installed but requires a few add'l hoops to be jumped through. Uses a std type clutch.
Hard to say whether the LT1 or LS1 is cheeeeper or eeeeeeezier or better; neither is quite a bolt-in, but both can be done and work well.

Oh so only a t56 from a camaro or firebird will bolt onto a engine.
I learned something new today thanks for the help since i was already thinking of going to buy it since it was so cheap lol.

It may not be a bad deal if you can do some mechanical work yourself.. A GTO mainshaft and case parts will make a direct F-body clone, an SSR mainshaft and some machinework will get you a beast..

I think i rather save up for a complete t56 swap since that looks a bit complicated for me with not that much experience.

Problem with all that conversion stuff is, you gotta first come up with (a) a Vette transmission that doesn't fit your car, (b) a GTO transmission to get the shaft out of, and (c) a F-body transmission to get the right extension housing to fit your car; then you gotta take them all apart, and then you gotta put the right combo of stuff all back together, then you gotta throw away a WHOLE BUNCH of $$$$stuff$$$$ that you bought and paid for but won't be using.
Explain how buying 3 transmissions (one of which is the one and only that you really needed in the first place) and a rebuild kit, and then doing all that work, is a good idea, compared to just buying the one transmission (the F-body one) alone.
Now if you're one of those guys that has a huge pile of junk ones, or you own a boneyard or something, then it's a different matter altogether; but for somebody who has to go out and find em and buy em, it'd be best to just stick with the simple, straightforward, uncomplicated plan, and just get the one right thing and be done with it.
Or, if you can get the Vette trans for cheeep enough to make money buying and re-selling it, then go ahead and do that; and save up the cash toward your F-body one. Do your research first and find out how much a Vette trans sells for on CL or whatever, BEFORE biting off on that, though. Truly valid opportunities to arbitrage junk car parts are EXTREMELY rare, unless you have a better source than the general public at large, so don't be too surprised if you lose money on any such deal.
