So I have decided to go for the 5 speed swap but i justa have some questions about a manual clutch or hydraulic setup. The camaro that I am getting everything from for the swap is a manual setup. And I was just curious if I could just buy a hydraulic setup and put it in. Will all the manual clutch things work with a hydraulic setup?

the pedals are different, and the bellhousing is different. so there is little you can use from the car your getting.
however, the parts for the 5 speed setup in that car can be worth a few bux if they are in good shape since parts like the z-bar are really hard to find.
the hydraulic setup is the way to go however.

So i would have to get different pedals and bellhousing to make the setup work? And say I keep the manual clutch setup what parts are needed from the car. The only reason I ask is because I am not pulling the parts. Thanks for the information

yeah, pretty much nothing on that car will work with the hydraulic setup except maybe the trans.
if you are having he parts pulled, and want the parts for whatever reason, take everything related to eh 5 speed setup. pedals, linkages, z-bar, trans, bellhousing, torque arm mount, wiring would be nice console shift plate, shifter ect.

OK so I got all of the stuff today to do the swap I would wanna do hydralic but I cant afford it right now. So I am just wondering how to setup the Z bar and everything. And the Z bar that I have seems a little wore out like of instance on one end where it has a small bracket and what looks like a stud the holds the bracket on has some play to it. That and what I think is adjusting rod has a slight bend to it. Anyway just looking for some advice thanks.
