Re: adjusting kickdown cable?
my cable housing did not come back out any when I went to WOT.And the picture of the valve bushing thing.that looked like some kind of bracket.Where in the world is that thing? Before I put the 700r4 in I don't remember seeing it on the tranny.and it's not around the motor.I've got a 350tpi in a iroc.89type.I put a tranny from a 91rs in.I dosn't want to shift when cold untill 3500rpm.then after warm seams slow to shift down.and NO PASSING gear.I'm trying to make this adjustment.I think im missing somthing here.

OK,It's easyer than that.At least it was on my camaro.I finaly looked in the maintanace manuel. You find the tv cable where it gose through the throtle bracket.you push in on the side peace that is shaped like a D on some.mine was more oval.while holding it in slide the cable housing tward the rear of the vehical till it stops and let go of the D thing. There are pics of it on the link chazman provided.after that take the throtle linkage and open it up all the way.then go for a ride to see if yours was as easy as mine.Mine worked great for an old used tranny out of a recked car.$250.00 and a day under my car(priceless)
