T-5 Into my 92 3.1L?

I have searched and searched but am unable to find any build threads for this. I assume that the bellhousing pattern is the same as the 305, correct? I'm not exactly sure what needs to be done...

I come from a Toyota truck background and from 3 clutch swaps (I'm only 18 and learning...) it was easy to pull the transmission and it was a LOT more simple than an auto. From what I know...I need to...

Get the pedal assembly set up
Get the hydraulics set up (Master + Slave cylinders...)
Get the transmission in (including taking the torque converter off and swapping in a clutch, pressure plate, and aligning...)
Find a shifter

What am I missing here? I've heard a little bit of tapping into some wires but I'm not 100% on that. I also know I have to get rid of a lot of the crap in the center console that's in the auto - self-explanitory.

Any help appreciated!

A few details - 92 RS with the 3.1 and TH700r4 transmission. I've only had the car for...2 months and I HATE automatic. It takes the fun out of driving.

I'm looking for any form of help, but I would love to have build threads from others on here so I can see what's goin on.

Re: T-5 Into my 92 3.1L?

You need the bellhousing from a 2.8/3.1, its different than the V8

You'll need to make sure to get the torque arm mount with, or for the T5

If you end up using a T5 from a V8 car you'll need the appropriate clutch disc

The wiring is very simple as the only thing connected to the T5 is the reverse lights, and then connecting or bypassing the starter safety switch.

You'll need the manual lower shift boot, manual shifter bezel, as well as need to cut the hole for the shifter after unbolting the auto shifter.
