need a question answered about the pro 5.0 shifter

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, didn't really see a "shifter" catigory so I figured this would be as great a place as any. Let me know if I was mastaken though for future reference. So anywho, my question is is there a difference between the Ford and Chevy pro 5.0s? I see tons of Ford for sale but no chevys (t5) which makes sence because far more mustanges where produced with t5s than camaros/tas. Also if anyone knows of a good place to find one (link to a store) that would be awsome, thanks guys.

A T5 is a T5. Same pattern. The difference is the GM trans is installed 18 degrees rotated. This can be compensated for by heating the shifter and bending it. And this trick lets you go with Steeda's Tri-Ax. Far better than the Pro-5.0, drive a Tri-Ax once, you'll never touch anything less ever again.

I am in no way connected with this place with the exception of having bought one from them that should arrive today.

Midias, the link isn't working on my mobile browser, who's the seller? And I noticed your running a nwc t5 behind a 355? How's it holding up, I'm planning on a t5 sbc 350 swap soon but don't wanna detonate my trans. How's it holding up

bergs-performance

Item number: 251236061000

IT is holding up fine except the syncros are a little weak when it is cold. Shifts a little notchy from 1st to second and into reverse. It was already like that when I bought the car.

A lot of people here are running T5s behind 350s for extended periods of time without issues. I believe the key is not missing the shift into 3rd and not doing heavy launches with stick tires.

I am upgrading to a WC T5 soon because I got a good deal on a rebuilt one. I will also be using the steel cluster support.

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus, about the just don't beat the craps outah it and it'll last. Also, steel cluster support? Isn't that the internal structure that usually flexes and causes issues? I'm still new to this stuff

I've heard really good things about the pro 5.0 and I love the stance, how's the tri-ax any better? And is tranny rotated 18 left or right?

The base plate on mustang shifters is different than chevy. It is not a bolt on
