168 tooth flex plate
Will my 87 torque converter bolt up to a 168 tooth flexplate?Will the 168 tooth flex plate clear my auto trans?THANKS

Yes (almost) and yes.
The "almost" is, it depends on the motor in your car. If it's 86-up, all you need is one from something common and everyday like a TBI (87-95) truck. If it's 85-back, you need an equally common and everyday item, except that the converter bolt pattern will be in SAE units, where the 700 bolt pattern is metric. The difference is that the bolt holes may need to be elongated slightly. (emphasis on "slightly") They're a slightly different distance from the crank compared to a 350/400, can't remember which way though. I think the 700 converter pattern is slightly larger but I could easily be wrong about that. whichever way it is, the difference is less than 1/8".
