i have an 84 z28 with a posi (3.73). i think i whore it out. if anyone has a good aftermarket posi unit in their car can you let me know what it is called, who makes it, and how much is it.
Zexel Torsen from SLP performance parts-$99
Zexel Torsen Heavy Duty from SLP--$(about, i think)299
I got the cheap one, and it's about halfway installed right now (problems getting old carrier out). When it's done, I'll post how it works...in the mean time, I haven't heard anything bad about it.
A posi for $100!!!! I might have to get one. I was totally unaware that SLP made anything remotely affordable! Since, you know, the rest of thier stuff is made of gold.
the hd is a non rebuildable unit that is what I had in my car .busted spider gears on launch at track took out ring and pinion also.cluch type will just slip.
