I got a 93 4L60, not an 4L60E.
Everybody sayin that my 93 tranny is the same as a 700r4, not true... the valve body is tottaly different because I tried to put a TCI shift kit in it... not working at all.
I need to know if I can take the corvette servo of my 4L60 and put it in a 83 Th700r4, Also I need to know the wiring for the 4 pin connector on the driver side ...
My 93 4L60 has a 5 pins connector on it.
My 83 TH700r4 has 4 pin connector on it.

Well my transmission and engine are out of a 93 camaro ... there's a 5 pin connector on it, trust me, I've tried to put a 700r4 with my swap ...
Here's the info: The 4L60 transmission assembly uses a five-pin TCC connector (right). A pre-1993 wiring harness with a four-pin TCC connector (left) can be modified to work with the 4L60 transmission.

You can put a corvette servo in any 700r4 or 4l60E. I haven't seen a 700r4 in a 93, but they do exist and take an extra check ball in the valve body. I'm sure you can rig a 93 700 to fit any other years, not sure what the hell they thought they were doing in 93 making another 700, but then again general motors is too proud of all of their products to improve on them.
And so is a M30 or whatever other name you wanted to call it. To my knowledge the 2004r only came in the monte carlo and oldsmoblie vehicles, I don't know of any camaros or corvettes that came with the 200r4 personally I think it's a better transmission.
first things irst if you have an 87 or older 700r4 get rid of it,gm made a lot of improvements in 88,so if you dont start there your wasting time and money,second they made lots of other little changes over the years like the connectors but the 700 and the 4l60 are basically the same ,but the 4l60e is different.my 94 has a 4l60 in it so anything older than that will definately be not electronic.also the 700 came out in 83 so i think some camaros had them but some didnt,so make sure you have a 4 speed not the crappy 250 3 speed
Ok well let me explain everything ... I swapped a 93 lt1 engine and tranny into my 89 RS. My old 89 th700r4 was slipping like crazy and I shipped it to the scrapyard...
Now I got this 83 TH700R4 from a Chevy Ventura Van with 80 000 km, the van never got over 60 mph, a 70 years old man was driving it.
The overdrive on my 93 tranny is somehow *****d because it's always shifting at different speed and sometimes it also doesn't shift from 3rd to 4th...
My plans where to install the 83 tranny with my LT1, then take the 93 servo corvette of the 93 tranny, install it in the 83 tranny and install a TCI shift kit that I had purchased a long time ago for my older v6 camaro that died in the winter of 2000. R.I.P.
What's wrong with 83 tranny ???

I see what you're doing now.
Assuming the van transmission was behind a 4.3 liter doesn't make it good for your application. Two reasons, 1984 and older 700R4's had many problems, V-6 transmissions before 1989 had fewer clutch plates.
You should have kept the '89 trans for a rebuildable core.
The servo should interchange between all 700R4's and 4L60E's.
The shift kit not being right depends on what trans was in your old v-6 camaro although it should have been a 700R4 it could have been something else.
The '83 trans can be beefed up quite a bit, most parts will interchange and it can be built to be as good as any other 700 except for the input shaft- it's smaller but shouldn't matter unless you have a lot of power; and the lack of an auxillary valve body which only makes engagement into drive more harsh.
Upgrade the pump to a 10 vane, enlarge the lube oil hole in it, install a good transgo kit, put in new clutches and add more to match V-8 specs. Do all this and it'll be fine. Wire it to lock up automatically in fourth and it'll be good but the engines computer may not like the change.

Well thats not too bad at least it should have the right amount of clutches. A transgo 2&3 reprogramming kit should help a lot. 350 HP is pushing it a little, it would be best to improve the 3-4 clutch pack at least.
I have a stock 1990 700R4 with no shift kit, a few modifications, rebuilt with raybestos clutches, no corvette servo, .471 boost valve, .292 int/rev valve. Its behind a 360 HP 355. It had some 2-3 shift flare before I tightened the 3-4 clutch stack clearance from factory spec to .035.
In other words if it's properly built it can handle 350 HP.

I thought they started making the changes in the 700 mid '87. Also Camaros/Firebirds did come with the 2004R but it was early on.
