tranny governor

How do you go about calibrating the governor and most of all what do I look for when inspecting a govenor. Never worked on one I had made a rear swap a while back from a 2.73 to a 4th gen 3.23 and ever since shifts have been different. I've already made the speedo gear changes and they are correct for a 3.23 and also, changed out the computer prom to match a 3.23 rear. please help. thanks.

You change the shift points by adding or taking away weight, I think taking away weight raises the shift points, but I'm not totally sure, I'll leave that to the experts.
I would think the easiest thing to do would be buy one that is already calibrated for the gears you have, that's what I plan on doing.
