im about to get a 3.4 v6 and wanted to if i had to do anything to the car or can i just drop it in and have no problems doing it i have a 3.1 in it now
Read Keds Article. ITs for a 2.8 though from an 85 car.
Do as he says. Look at everything side by side and duplicate it.
If you keep that in mind I am sure you will be fine.
I'M NO EXPERT
But I wrote that to help all.
GO GET THE GM Performance Parts book to see w/3.4
It's only $6 any GM Dealer.
Read the thread, many times and look at pics, lots of them.
IT's easy & detailed.
Can't say more or less....
BUT you can do it!
I'm doing the 2.8 3.4 long block swap boogie to my 1985 carb'd Federal version S-10 Blazer (w/automatic & AC & 3:42 axle). Trying to find legal headers, too, cheap!
Is it a tech article now?
Educate me!!
I'd be so pleased if so!
Will help referring that article to many other Converts!
What we up to now about 25 swapped, so far?
I'm doing it twice (my 85 Blazer gets a 3.4 next)
