Thinking of cams...options and ideas

I am thinking about doing it this summer to my 1989 Camaro RS (97,000 miles). I have been looking around and was thinking of getting either:
a.) Crane PowerMax (aka Compucam) 2030 (This cam has 204°/214° of duration at .050" lift (intake/exhaust), while the valve lift is .423"/.423", lobe seperation is 109 degrees). Plus some CompCams Magnum Roller Rockers Kit ($148 at summitracing.com, with "high energy" push rods...oooo!! ), and Crane Valve Springs, Retainers, and Valve Stem locks. The thing I wonder about this setup is: The CompCam roller rockers are 1.52 (versus 1.5) - I assume that would be OK with this cam since on Crane's site it shows that you can use either 1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers, but I would like to make sure it is OK. I have been wondering, how do you calculate total lift?
b.) GM's 12363220 or 12364059 cam kit made by Crane Cams. The only difference between the two is the first has 107 degrees of lobe seperation versus 112 for the second. The first cam is used in the 3.4 liter engines. These cams have 204°/216° of duration at .050" lift (intake/exhaust), while the valve lift is .427"/.454". I would also get GM roller rockers, GM valve springs (P/N 12363215, 105 pounds of seat pressure at an installed height of 1.70" and 296 pounds open pressure at a height of 1.20"), GM retainers and GM valve stem locks. The thing that has me curious about this option: Are the seats that the valve springs sit in on the 2.8 the same size as the 3.4? The valve springs listed for use with that cam are the ones I mentioned above and the catalog says they are the ones used in the 3.4 conversion package. If those springs would not work I assume I could use the Crane springs mentioned above as they are the stock diameter. The nice thing about this option is all the parts are nice prices from gmpartsdirect.com and comes in at around $350.
c.) One of the GM cams mentioned above with the CompCams Magnum Roller rockers, Crane valve springs (or GM, which ever would be better), and retainers and valve stem locks from Crane or GM (shouldn't matter too much, right? GM is cheaper). In this case would the extra lift of the GM cam versus the Crane 2030 in combination with the 1.52 CompCams rockers cause a problem?

I am not sure what I am going to do and need to do more research. Any suggestions? (Other than a 3.4 swap, thanks...already have that in mind too...but this 2.8 is so strong right now, I hate to waste it. It is a lot stronger than my 1987 Camaro SC 2.8L which has 127,000 on it, I would like to improve the 2.8 in the 1989 RS even more.)

Whoa, I just noticed that on Crane's website that the PowerMax H-260-2 has the same specs as the GM 12364059 Camshaft Kit, but is advertised by Crane as applicable to "Emissions Controlled Vehicles without Computer". Hmmm...strange...
What difference does 107 degrees of lobe sep. versus 112 degrees make? Does it only affect idle? Which would be better?

Well first, get a different OS (J/K)
I tried dealing with linux for 6 months, and I could never get it to operate my equipment normally. Whereas Win2K pro did everything first time out. Ease of end user use is why Win will never go away.

But cams, i have and always will suggest crower.
