How'd the car run after you were done with that? Any significant difference?

Cleans the carbon out right?? I could do this, once I find a place that sells sea foam.

Many years of carbon build up.

Only place to find it is at NAPA or on line.

Its one of them odd products NAPA sells that work. Them secret Old Guy products. There is also another one there with a white odd green label and its called chain lube. Its a miracle bolt loosener.
But one of them Old Guy tricks, Marvelous Mystery Oil is one of them too. They use it in everything often.

Sea Foam is big in the Virago bike world. It keeps the carbs fresh and clean.

I actually got my SeaFoam @ Advance Auto while visiting a friend around the Pittsburgh area (Sewickley). $4.99

Marvelous Mystery Oil I've seen at every AZ so far.

The car actually idled below 1000rpm, about 800 when the stuff finished burning off.

Ive seen sea foam in many parts stores havent used it yet. Berreymen also makes a good upper engine cleaning kit, Ive got them from checker.

Ive used marvel before dident notice any difference except when I mixed it with the gas in my gokart. Seemed to help it with overheating problems.

I'm not near Sewickley, but I'm gonna check some other local ones. Maybe others in the Pittsburgh area have it.

I just got a new catalytic converter installed today because the other was clogged. My engine still idles rough and I've already changed the plugs, wires, and fixed the cat and i'm thinking of doing this using seafoam. What's the chance my new cat will get clogged again by doing this? Thanks

Bought a can today, don't do it at an apartment complex either. LOTS of smoke. Had to go for a drive, didn't want to piss off any other people living here.

How often do you guys do this??

WOW!!!, old thread, but maybe this shows again the power of

I really don't know the frequency of doing it, but it shouldn't be needed to be done to often. Gonna do my GP soon, and now that the bird is running again* I'll hit that too.

* open manifolds like the 3.4 was way back when. Sounds lower ptiched than the 3.4, more boat motorish, but then it is a sbc. Hopefully I'll have better luck w/the y-pipe this time.
