Throttle valve cable compatibility? 700R4 to 200c conversion

I'm getting ready to sort of resurrect an '88 Camaro (frankenproject) into some sort of driveable condition, and am doing a transmission swap in the process.

What's kind of messed up is that I have a TH200c that I am putting into the car to replace the blown TH700R4(a step down, I know, but the 200c was sitting around and is rebuilt). I have the 200c driveshaft, shifter, and shifter plate.....but I'm wondering about the TV cable. I know that the TV cable on the carb'd V6 hooks up on the passenger's side, while on the FI cars it is on the driver's side. Should I be able to get away with using a TV cable from the 700R4 on the 200c? The car still has the MPFI motor in it.

I know the 200c is a lousy transmission, but I'm building this car out of a bunch of spare parts from my junk collection so I can get it driving out of here. I'm not doing this because I think the 200c is any kind of upgrade...I have experience with it that proves otherwise, haha. It's just to get the car driving out of here under its own power.

Good probability is it will "fit" not work well but fit.
Not work well meaning upshifts & such. That'll be the challenge.
On the end, it seriously could be a "why not?" type of answer.
Leave the cable attached to engine & just switch/reattach the clip down at tranny.
Good thoughts!

yeah, I figured that adjusting it to shift properly would probably be about as quick and fun as tuning a piano...but hey, maybe it's worth the shot...
