The Corssy did a 14.7 N/A. You keep the iron heads, I'll use them to hold my boat in place.

BTW, how do you figure your car is heavier than a family sedan fully dressed?

Look at the 60' times. A FWD can't launch.

Those are decent FWD numbers. Even with suspension mods he's luck to get a 2.4.

Needs wider tires. Too wide? Fender flares

I personally hope to do something like this to my 3.1 Beretta GT. 13.6 with 6psi sounds good to me. I hope to get a little more boost though, so good to see something right around my expectations. My Beretta will be as stripped as possible though, so hopefully I'd gain a few tenths at the same boost.

tunning session number 2 video

streetlethal on the boards here can back up the times it ran and even verify it wasnt a full 1/4 mile pass were assuming 13.8 had it been a full pass even with the weak *** launch and expecting low low 13's on an full out luanch/run at 6 psi

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

Ok, so you run a 3" dump for exhaust and have a small intercooler. manual or auto? I noticed you don't run the stock upper intake manifold now as well. Did you run it with slicks are is the mid 14 the only time you ran? This laptop is way too slow to watch the video

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

the 14.01 was with the stock upper manifold on street tires.
the 14.6 run was also stock upper street tires, we were still tunning the car so only about a 1,000 ft run was made

the second session is when we went 14.01 and that run was lifted slightly before the line. automatic trans open 3 inch downpipe, and the cars still running lean so theres deff more power to pick up.and to boot the cars got a ste of 4:10 rear gears in it,which are horrible for a turbo car,had i had the 3:42;s in it it would went even faster

going to atco next friday to make some more passes this time i will be driving and it will be on the slicks im pretty sure we will see some low 13 sec runs at 6 psi even with the stock upper plenum and tb on it

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

Ok. I feel I need to stick up for myself. The car with me in it weighs around 3000lbs so its not that heavy. If you look at the MPH, Im trapping speeds for a 12 second ET. My main issue is traction and wheel weight. My only choice right now for any hope at traction are my 17s which I still spin, so there for Im losing some time there. Also my 17s are HEAVY AS HELL. They slow my car down half a second. Ive tested it many many times when I was NA so dont tell me they dont. Another issue is my MAF. I currently max it out so its dumps TONS of fuel. That video was running richer then a 10.0:1 AFR on the wideband as well as a crappy tune and maxed out injectors. I know have proper sized injectors (42.5#). All I need are drag radials or slicks on my stock 14" steelies and I can run 12s all day long on 6psi. Final will be atleast 12psi but I have other isses to deal with right now on the car other then traction to make it into the 12s. Any other problems you want to know? I have a longer list. As far as Im concerned, Im happy as hell. I turned a 17 second car into a car capable of 12s as you see it. AND I HAVE THE ONLY ONE TO MY KNOWLEDGE!

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

noone bashed ur car man, simple comparision of heads

granted i didnt have the traction issues, but the car went down the track at just about 13.0:1 afrs way to god dam lean to make its potential in power and i only ran a total of 16* ign timing on that run.same thing wit the rims i have 16" iroc rims on my car iirc they are 45 pounds each or something close to that.and the car is 400 pounds heavier

105mph is not going to get u into the 12's not with a turbo car and deff not if u cant launch it look more in the 110-115 range 109-110 should land u about a 12.9

btw try shooting for around 11.2-11.4:1 afrs i found the best power gains to be had in this area
----------
oh and u do relize mines only a 3.1L not a 3.4

I've driven the car already, and I know the current driver, and she is not driving it properly as of yet. She does not launch it well, and won't follow through the entire length of the track for some reason. The car is without a doubt a good low to mid 13 second car; running the very same boost the night I was there, with a good sixty foot, and running it the entire length of the track....

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

Current 60's are around 2.2. I have no problem launching the car but Im only not fully stalling the convertor. My brakes cant hold the power of a full stall which is around 3k and about 1-2psi of boost. Also if I could fully stall the car, I would spin even worse right now then I do. If I can get my brakes to hold the car and get some proper rubber, then Im will to bet I can pull of a 2.0 or better 60'.

Dave, I'm cleaning out the garage. I have a chrome waterneck that faces upward (not entirely upward), and it might help you re-route your upper radiator hose if you'd like. BTW, I'm definitely going to the track tonight, so lemme know if your going before-hand....

Still the same boost, but with meth injection. Unfortunately, he hurt the motor on the next run, thinks it may be a ring. Trying to talk him into a 3500 swap

Hehe, and your car has traction

Notice the drop in trap speed, ET and 60'. This was on 9psi.

Wait until Chris' car is finished. We used a cam that was too small with 11.56:1 3.4/3500 hybrid running with MS and kept getting detonation after 3k RPM (260 cam, but it was pulling like a freight train till 3k, the trapped mass was creating too much heat in the combustion. We are going to try a variation of the 272 to help relieve the 250psi cranking pressure haha.

923.4v6 has his 3.4/3500 hybrid running as well, but is running into problems with his o2 reading erratc numbers. I'm sure we will be hearing from him soon as well.

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

ok so 9 psi so that equal

my 13.00 was a 1.94 60 iirc and it spun anyway

the timer was triped early cause the car rolled threw the lights it would have been a 12.8-9 or better run

but even still
3500 heads that flow so much more
3400 shortblock with a roller cam
400 pounds lighter
and a bigger turbo
methanol injection
and a full fmic

granted its a good time but come on that thing should be toasting my car

I geuss you haven't dealt with a FWD. That engine in a RWD would definately toast your car. FWD sux when it comes time to race

Re: Thought you guys would like to see this

his 60' is right on with mine if he droped down to a 1.9 it would have been about a 12.87

hes picking up 21 mph on the top end which is good im only getting 19-20 mph from the 1/8 out

his motor in my car would go slower that 400 pounds is worth 4 tenths prolly still be going 13.0-13.1 just cause of the 60 difference to make up for some of it

STFU!!!

You don't know what you're talking about when it comes to anything in this thread, Jy already has rear air bags, it STILL transfers weight off the front wheels, I'm not sure if Mars is using air bags or air shocks, but he's also limited on traction.

FWD and RWD are completly different animals.

I doubt that Corsi is 400 lbs lighter with a full audio system and full interior where as I believe yours is stripped down.

i wasnt knocking the car i was simply asking for heads with such high flow numbers how the hell am in within 3.7 or whatever tenths

i'd just like to point out, my old 4 cylinder 5speed beretta's door vin plate said 3670 lbs if i remember correctly. that corsica's got two more doors, two more cylinders, and they only come in auto. they are tanks.

Shawn wound up with the wrong passenger side rotor, had to go back to the auto parts store. He might not head out to Atco, we're thinking E-town, plus I'm not really looking forward to the long ride back from Atco anyways....
