does any know how to make the stock shift light work i tried putting a bulb in there because it didnt hat one but it still wont work is there something that i have to do to make it work?
it has to be wired to the tach you have to take the gauge cluster out to really look at it and make sure its wired though. don't you know when to shift anyway lol.
That light will just warn you when you get too high in the RPMs. Like probabbly 6500+ I would imagine. That's not the best way to shift. The motors power peaks somewhere around 4Krpm so you should shift around 4500-5K rpm.
If you put a bulb in it and it doesn't work then you will need to wire it.
It only works on a manual trans car tho. (in the prom)
It doesn't wire to the tach, it has a wire in the back of the cluster that goes to the ECM, if it's not there it would have to be added.
