Looks to be first class execution of V6 Camaro I would guess a low 14 in the 1/4 is possible. Mid 14's at worst.

I can't wait to rent one for weekend.

Re: Now THIS V6 Camaro I Would Literally Give My Left Nut For....!!!!!

Funny I just noticed this post. I hapened to be driving through the famous City Of Orange circle today and one was parked directly accross from Watsons drugs (Area of town they have filmed many movies including "Big Mama's House") I have seen pics of it so much I didn't think much of taking one myself. I had just seen it at the LA autoshow a few months back and figured they were out to the public now.

I would love to shove one of those motors into my car. The best part is is that the 3rd gen is lighter so faster. The V6 Camaro is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3700lbs I believe.

Camaro fan of many years. But that is NOT one I like the looks of. The new Challenger looks more like the old school camaro then this new "retro" one.

This will eat a v6 challenger though. more HP and less weight. v8, that would be more interesting to see, camaro has less hp, but less weight (assuming it is 3700 for the v6). the challenger is 4300ish. id love to get one of those camaros to drive and see how it compares to the challenger, i work at chrysler HQ, so ive gotten to drive a couple of the SRT-8 challengers, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I agree with the interior comments. That huge square cluster sticking up above the dash is hideous. Looks like adding an aftermarket stereo is going to be a challenge too. I did like the white stitching on the seats though.

While I understand where your coming from. If my only thought was performance, I wouldnt get a v6 model. My thoughts on that would be better mpg in the v6 camaro then the v6 challenger(wouldnt have to push motor as hard to move it).

I wonder what the base model V6 Camaro will start at, for price? And, I wanna hear what that 300hp V6 sounds like!

Re: Now THIS V6 Camaro I Would Literally Give My Left Nut For....!!!!!

It'll probably be around $25,000 base, imo.

All the numbers except the weight are awesome. 3,700+lbs just kills it. FAT FAT FAT.
Drop it down even 200 and it wouldn't be so bad, but seriously, rip out all the special do-dad's, take a hit and use slightly more expensive materials that are lighter weight, and they'd be able to pull off 3,300lbs. That'd make this thing a rocket.

The funniest thing though, while it does weight 300 more lbs than a current gen V6 Mustang, it's got as much horsepower as a GT
That's good to see! With a really fat, poorly skilled driver in a GT you could beat him in a drag race if you're light, and can shift well in an RS, lol.

But the price will almost surely reflect the performance. The base Stang can be had for just $20,000, where as I'd be surprised if the base Camaro comes in at under $22,000, like I stated above, more likely it'll be $25,000.
