Ditching my stock smog pump HELP

I have an 89 Firebird 2.8, I'm in the process of installing Pace Setter headers, a high flow cat, and Borla cat back exhaust. The Pace Setters have no hook up for the stock smog pump setup. Thats good cuz I don't want it anyway, but my question is seeing how the smog pump is ECU controlled, will it matter if I just remove it all together and plug all vaccuum lines, will that trigger any check engine lights or will everything be fine. I'd appreciate any help I can get on this

You'll be fine. Search this forum for 'remove smog pump, 'smog pump delete' or other variations. Lots of information. I removed mine and ran a shorter belt with no problems.
