Re: Should I just sell my RS?

ya low oil pressure in chevorlet motors is 100% natural my camaro when RPM is up its about 40 and idle its like non-existant haha same thing with my dads small block 350 and my moms 3.1l v6 in an oldsmobile and a brand new motor that my dads friend we just installed it has like horrible oil pressure..yes were chevy fans and they all run like champs.

Re: Should I just sell my RS?

I put some slick 50 in my car and its sounding a million times better, on idle. But yesterday I think I might have knocked my exhaust and it sounds like I have a leak now. and my door locks and dome light and backup lights arent working again. but tonight my backup lights started working again. I finally used up 10 gallons of gas and it seems im getting 25 mpg on the highway. I gotta clean out the EGR and whatnot now. My engine is also studdering in 3rd and 4th gear at 2500 rpm until the gas pedal is almost all the way down then it shoots up to 4000 ill have to figure that out too.

slick 50? is that like seafoam? check the fuses and make sure your wires aren't crossed. you did say the wiring looked pretty bad didn't you?

Re: Should I just sell my RS?

Slick 50 is just an engine treatment like the stp fuel system cleaner. It was the most expensive stuff on the shelf $10. what i got was for high mileage engines and is supposed to smooth out rough idles and treat your cylinders and stuff also. It did a great job the engine was idling 10 times smother.

I just Got my new radio in (the second new radio the first one i got was broken) and now this one is all set and running along with the door locks and lights etc. the wiring is fine. Im going to get it to another mechanic a family member knows and get it re tuned i dont think the first mechanic knew what he was doing. hopefully all the kinks will get worked out. Iv decided to sell it at the end of my insurance period (july).
