Well that stinks (for us). I'm looking to go 12.9, so your car was a good source of inspiration and parts knowledge. I'm sure I'd trade mine for a new Camaro too.
LT or SS?

im not to sure right now really it comes down to price, or if the aftermarket completly looks over the v6 motor,
as long as there is a way to tune the v6 motors ill deff be getting an LT and it wont be long before i drop a turbo on it
where abouts in new york are you located now. Id love to check out your car. I look at all your posts just WISHING i could do this to my car. Im not very good at fab work nor do i have the tools and equipment to do a turbo set up. Either way id love to see it once in person before someone gets there hands on it and rips it apart or something.

also 4.3's are popular. neither are as cheap to build as the small block, but im sure you already know that.
its a beautiful car, good luck with the new one, i like the third gen more than the new ones.
we already know these v6's can handle the power, its more my concern over what can be done with the direct injection system as far as tuneabiltiy
ya i know where that is....that would be a road trip for me tho...new york is a pretty big state. Well good luck on everything man. Your car has been a huge inspiration to me. Id love to boost my v6 but will most likely end up just dropping a 350 or 383 in with no computer, emissions or anything and just call it a day. The new camaros are nice. My buddy just sent me a text the other day cause his dad bought a new 2010 Camaro LT. Its yellow which idk if im so crazy about but its FAST for a six(so ive been told). I might go out and take a look at it this weekend if the weather holds out. If you boost one of those that would just be crazy. You will have to get rid of alot of stuff tho. The engine bays are just jam packed.

Thank you for posting about your engine, I plan on doing a similar build. What type of piston style was it? Domed, Flat, etc. ? If the crank and rods were also forged would it be able to take higher boost?
Again congrats on the new job

the pistions are dished,no need to upgrade the crank or rods, arp main studs and arp rodbolts are all u will need, u will break the block before u need to worrry about rods and crank
