How hard to swap 4.3?

How hard would it be to swap in a 4.3 in place of my 2.8? What transmission would i need? would the v8 motor mounts work because the 4.3 is a 90 degree?

To drop in a 4.3 you need to do all the same work as dropping in a small block v8... without nearly the benefit.

Have you considered the price of gas? That's the great thing about our little V6's! Great fuel economy but still fun to drive. I gotta tell you that I have driven my 2.8L 5-speed all around town and enjoy it WAAAAY more than when I drove my friend's Mustang Cobra 5.0L. Hell, you're already going like 65 in second gear and have to slow down before you get a ticket. What fun is that?

the 4.3 v6 found in s-10's and blazers are just a small block v8 with the front two cylinders missing. for the amount of money involved to make it work, step up to the v8. you will be much happier.

and for those who tell you otherwise going the fuel economy way. do a search for fuel economy on the 2.8 and a nice tpi 350. not alot of difference for the performance gain. we arnt talking about a hybrid here
