stock fuel pump?

i have a 1992 camaro with the 3.1l. my fuel pump is dead is there a way to get to the pump with out dropping the tank completely?

cut a hole. search will show you pictures and measurements where to do it.

there isn't one some where there already..??? if not i will be taking it down. i was asking because the tank is full of gas.

syphin (sp) the gas out. and just drop it. its a weak uni body already so cutting anything will weaken the car even more. . one easy thing would be to cut ur exhaust off near the rear end somewhere. that helps..

cutting a hole wont weaken it. if youre worried about weld or pop rivet a patch.

i have an after market exhaust so don't need to cut anything. just have to get to it this weekend i guess thanks!

Hey I had the same problem and dropped the fuel tank. This can be pretty tuff. When I did drop it I noticed that the previous owner had made a cute out to the trunk already so I was pretty p*ssed. A lot of people here will say that its not the best thing to do but hey its your ride and it will save you a lot of time....trust me.
