pace setter headers are the only ones that are made for the v6's so if u do headers u can use them and they are great from what i have heard but if u do that the stock exhaust will not work...from what i was told

Re: are there any header's out there for the 2.8
yes they will fit both 2.8 and 3.1...im lookin at gettin a set next month...first comes injectors then headers....only question i have now is that said above "stock exhaust wont work"....what is the problem? the y pipe or something?....i thaught i saw a kit that had the headers and y pipe with o2 sensor bung in it on jegs or summit...I already have a high flow cat and 2.5 dynomax super turbo exhaust....i just need to get headers....can anyone confirm any CORRECT part numbers and also if there are fitment problems and exactly what they are?

They will fit the 3.1, but you cant use your EGR. The EGR valves are different between the 2.8 and 3.1. You will also need to extend the o2 sensor wire when you install headers since it relocates where the o2 sensor sits on the pipe, no big deal though. When you get them, get the felpro header gaskets for the 2.8 fiero, the ones that come with the pacesetters are junk, and get locking header bolts or your gonna have bolts coming loose all the time.

Stock exhaust does not work with it I'm pretty sure. I think a pipe needs to be shortened or something along those lines.

Not sure if the stock exhaust will work or not, I had Dynomax catback and Catco converter when i put my headers on.
as far as the header gaskets, myself and others have mentioned that they blow out easily. Yes loctite will work, i guess.

Re: are there any header's out there for the 2.8
i just put headers on my 2.8 a few weeks ago. they bolted right up to the stock exhaust except i had to twist the y-pipe a little to get it to bolt up to the passenger side flange, nothing major.

Re: are there any header's out there for the 2.8
do they seriously not come with a Y-pipe? I've got a leak in my y-pipe and I figured headers would be a good upgrade if they came w/ the y-pipe. it looked like they had a y-pipe in the picture.

Re: are there any header's out there for the 2.8
I swear the picture at hawks shows um with a y-pipe...not that my y-pipe is bad but i want to use my stock y-pipe to hack up when i get the money to do the turbo set up...i know they are cheaper other places...could this be the reason they are cheaper?

Re: are there any header's out there for the 2.8
yea price is my next question is price. who has it for the cheapest? I'm pretty sure they all come w/ y-pipes or none of them do, it's a kit. just my logic, but whoever finds the lowest price calls the retailer to see if the y-pipe is included. and post up the lowest price you find!

prices
I'm just gonna buy mine from summit, I know they have good customer service so if something goes wrong I will be fine.
