why is my ac compressor cycling on and off

ok i repaired my whole ac system about a month ago. all has been working great. yesterday the car stopped cooling. the ac compressor cycles on and off constantly. i had noticed that the diode to the green and black wire that connects right behind the comp pully had been rubbed through so i replaced it thinking it would fix the problem. no it did not seem to fix the problem....so what is wrong with my ac? does this mean all the r134a leaked out? thanks guys i need this back up and going asap this is the prego wifes car lol...she is a delicate flower

Re: why is my ac compressor cycling on and off

its not normal to stop working . could of been a slow leak. leaking refigerant out slowly over time that its now low enough it trips the low pressure switch so the ac don't run.

but i would get a sniffer and check it. could be a number of things.
