Speed Sensor Location?
Can anyone tell me if the 1989 2.8 RS has a vehicle speed sensor cuz i cant seem ti find it. If so what color are the wires that go with it. Thanks for any help.

speed sensor is attached to the transmission. on the side of the case. can't think of the wire colors off hand.

...yup is on the tranny...drivers side tailshaft...dont remember the colors off hand either

Mine is a 2 slot connector with 1 yellow wire and 1 purple wire. Hope that helps.

Just in case...for those of us with mechanical speedos:

The VSS is mounted on the back of the speedo head. It's an optical sensor.
