3.1 automatic 90 model bird. Smog pump locked up. I searched threads, but found nothing definitive concerning a simple fix, i.e. reroute the belt. Doesn't look possible, but what do I know. I found a couple threads on v-8 belt reroutes, but nothing on the 3.1. I really gotta get this fixed asap, without spending a ton of money on something that really isn't a gotta have thing (the pump). I'm pushed hard for time and money, any constructive info would be a godsend to me right now.
Car runs great, otherwise. Just hate to put a 44 magnum in the block (although at this moment, I feel like it).
Thanks in advance.

Delete pulleys are rare if not impassable to come by in my experience. Most people if they want the thing taken of they'll just skip that pulley, run the belt right to the crank from the alternator. If i remember the conversation right some people have trouble doing that because that leaves a long section of belt, but others have had success with it..
Delete pulleys are always on ebay. There's 2 right now, but they are asking way too much.
I've read one here where people gut the pump, then have the factory pulley spinning freely.
remove the pump and run the belt from the alt down to the crank pully
it works just fine, do the string trick to figure out which belt u will need, or take ur old belt cut it wrap it around the pulleys and cut it to lenght, then tape the 2 ends together and a parts store can match u up the right belt

If your car still goes through emissions the pump may have to visiually be there , if that's the case you can gut it if emissions is aren't a concern just take it out like others said.
Thanks for the info. I'll get out here and give the belt thing a shot and see what I can do. Old belt's probably fried now anyway, so looks like a new belt either way. Thanks again!
I used Dayco part number 5060825 belt (no AIR Pump, no A/C). There is a long stretch from the crank to the alternator but no problems for me after a year.
