Re: 3.1L V6 Max Potential N/A

I'm sure it's been posted before, but I'll say it again: There are NO direct drop-in super or turbocharger kits for the 3rd Gen V6 (at this time, anyways, I think some 3rd Genners had a kit out a while ago but it wasn't very popular and I don't think very many were made). Everything's custom made depending on the engine size and the power goal.

As for your other question, pretty much the only engine you will find in a 60* in a performance catalog is a 2.8. While the rotating assembly (crank and piston kit) will not work in a 3.1, cams, headers, ignition components, underdrive pulleys, engine/trans mounts, and springs will. However, you may find S10 parts in your search. The cams will work, but the headers won't, being as the S10 has a full frame and higher ground clearance and the headers hang lower as a result.

The fuel injection components swap over on the 3rd gen only, but the fuel injectors are pretty much the same size already, so it's pointless. Anything newer requires a computer reprogram as the injectors are larger.

Re: 3.1L V6 Max Potential N/A

just an fyi, the buick powered trans am was one of the fastest trans ams ever produced. With homemade alky injection on my buick I went from 14lbs to 23. It's a low 12 with DR's for sure. If you go this route you also have "off the shelf parts" to choose from also. 10s have been achieved on stock longblock TRs with just bolt ons. Mostly stock TTAs have been in the 11s. Seems like easy power to me. Oh yeah, there was a TTA that was wrecked on turbobuick.com for 4,000. Complete car.
