i was thinking stage 3 as well...best bang for the buck and i know i wont need anything stronger than that. not sure why the stage 2+ is more exepnsive really.
put on the new couplers today TB and a 90* so i can put an air filter on...unfortunatly the air filter is no here so ill have to put it the rest of the way on later.
ive got the car back at home for a few days dave so ill take care of what you needed when it cools off, its been stupid hot here lately
deff get rid of the hose clamp on the tb 2.5 inch side, and get some clamps on the airfilter elbow too,evn though its suction side the couplers still like to vibrate apar
and since noone ever reads the README files inside zip packages ill post it here as well

open megasquirt with key on but engine not running
when ms sotware opens select file then select open
then select the file n1msq.msq ( all files located in the n1tunefiles folder) when prompted burn the values to the controler.
then the same way u exported the spark tables and fuel tables repeat the process except instead of export click on import and select the file for what u are updating n1fuel.vex for fuel and the other for spark tables
btw forgot to mention when u update the fuel and spark tables it will prompt u to burn the tables to the controller click yes
after u update the 3 files turn the key off and close the ms software
then turn the key back on to power cycle the ms and u are ready to go
if u have any issues itht he new settings open the ms software and goto file then open again and reload the defualt-safe.msq
if u still have issues i have include the base/safe fuel and spark maps tht u can put back into the ecm ( defualt/safe tune files are located in the tune files folder)
to datalog open the ms software click on file then datalogging then click record enter a file name and save the file to desktop before u shut the car off or close the software goto file and dataloging and click off
then u will have completed data logs u can send me for more fine tunning
ADDITIONS DONE IN THIS TUNE UPDATE
02 correction - turned on 10% athority in 1% steps per 16 ignition events
antirev - enabled - base settings NO action until 15% slip enrich and retard timing @15% slip.
spark cut at 30% slip and up
spark table - addition of more advance in cruise areas and some under boost
fuel table - fine tunning of cruise area's and leaning out some of the rich areas
rpm range - soft rpm upper limit set to 6300 rpms and absolute hard limit set to 6500
spark - fuel tables ---- all updated to reflect rpm changes and boost level increased to a max of 15 psi from 8 psi previous
iat/clt related spark rules - enabled the addition or subtraction of spark advance upto 5.3* advance when coolant temp is below 140 degress 1* per every 18* below 140* coolant temp until 4 psi of boost then it reverts back to standard timing map
under boost ecm will subtract 1* of timming from the base spark map per when boost is above 5 psi and iat's go above 160*. timming will be pulled 1* for every 20* above 160* iat temp
sweetness, i might go out and do that in a little bit. i was outside fixing clamps last night for about 10 mins before my shirt was soaked and i said screw it and came back inside lol
i saved the tune files that are in the car now on my laptop already just incase i needed to go back to them
the files in the upper tune folder ( tune files) are the files out of the ecm right now, the n1 files are the updates, next update will be n2 then n3 n so on im zipiing them up so as i send them to u and u unzip them they will auto place themselves in the tune files folder but will create a new folder for each update so they all stay organized
edit
i also forgot to add i modified launch control to 2500 rpms and set the tps activation count to just about half throttle iinstead of just off idle
cool, the car is going back to deadbirds maybe next weekend to start tearing it back down. ill probably wait to send you a datalog till after the exhaust leaks are fixed so that itll be more accurate
if u can pdate those files and go out tonight for a quick cruise ( datalog too) and let me know how it does the datalog will help with spark tables and such not to worried about afrs just yet
i cant.. i need another clamp becuase one of the tb clamps broke, the one i got from pep-boys lol. ill try to get that to you this week though assuming it doesnt rain all week like its supposed to
Couple pics for the heck of it... first pic is where the oil line used to run, second shows where it is now(or actually doesnt show it at all since its hidden)
How do you have the pcv hooked up? Just a pair of breathers?

3.4 block converted to roller valvetrain with 220/225 cam on 115 lsa, early '769' heads with 3500 valves, LS6 springs & mild porting, worked over heddman headers, 3500 plenum with ported 3400 lower & 'short star' 65mm throttle. 210hp at 5800ft (that's 270hp at sealevel )
tb size is irevelvant on a turbocharged or centrifugal supercharged car. ur increasingthe density of the air passing threw it. so it is not a restriction.well i should say not at this point anyway, possibly if he upgrades to a turbo in the t66 to t76 size ange and pushes more then around 14 psi it may become a restriction
project89
Okay, I don't think I'll be going with that big a turbo or that much boost. Probably gonna try to find something a bit bigger than a T04E. This guy used it on his 3400-swapped Cavalier: http://www.v6z24.com/registry/89jyturbo/
I'm gonna try and get some advice/direction from STS, as they do a lot of work with remote-mount turbo setups. Any suggestions? Oh, did you get the PM I sent you, project89?
updated tune in the n1.5 folder enjoy and dont forget to datalog as well the datalogs u got of u just cruising around were great just dont forget the wideband takes 30 seconds to go active after u start the car so wait when u start the car to drive around
cool man ill try to get those on and ill datalog it when i take the car to deadbirds that way you can give the new tune a look while we tear the car back apart.
i need a good 20-30 mins of u driving around in the datalog ( in one datalog not split up into multiple files)
after this next update u will have to tune the enrichment seetings urself this will be much faster then me doing it over email. ill walk u threw it
and btw the manual for the ms is in c:/program files/megasquirt/manual
new tune in n1.6 dont worryabout the targetafr tables yet they arent activated
the problem is the acceleration enrichments i backed them way off the motor was going dead rich everytime u would hit the throttle
i also turned off o2 correction for the time being till we get the acel enrichments right
u gota let me know if the car stumbles or backfires when u press the throttle now once its warmed up
cool, yeah ill get a better datalog and give you a more detailed description of problems once its back together. that way all the exhaust leaks will be fixed and the exhaust totally hooked up and we can go from there. not sure when it will be back together probably a couple weeks.
forgot to tell u the motor is still having a spark issue with those plugs
deff ditch them for some acdelco r42tsk's or r42ts i forgoet which are the right ones just look up the stock acdlco plug and go down one heat range stock is a 43 i think though certian year cars came with 42's
oh i suppose i could do that while the motor is apart as well. so just look up a stock plug and go one number down? i cant really remember how the heat range/part numbers run
