I have been thinking that i may to try to make a sheet metal intake for my 2.8 liter camaro. If i got a throttle body from a 305 and made some minor mods i think i can make it work. I may try to make it out of aluminum or mild steel and tig weld it up but i dont know what to make it look like but oh well i'll figure it out if you have any ideas let me know David W.
Im thinking it would be easier to just port your stock one. Though if you do decide to do this you should see some improvements. Just remember the 2.8 is like the TPI in thfact that the intake runners affect the powerband of the engine as much as the cam does so becareful dont make them toos short.

86 Trans Am 355 TPI Rebuilt 700R4 with Corvette servo, modified valve body, and a B&M Torque Converter (2000 rpm stall w/ lock up), 87 350 block bored .30 with new crank, bearings, rings, and magnafluxed rods. Also there has been a PST front suspension kit with Hotchkis strut tower brace
