| fuel filter after I installed the new fuel pump in november, I also replaced the fuel filter. I've been told that the new pump would work real hard and pick up alot of crap, and that the fuel filter would get clogged fairly easily. Well the last few days, the car has been suffering from a lean condition @ light throttle. A SES light also came on correspoding w/ a code 33. Could it be possible that the fuel filter was getted clogged, and it couldn't supply the fuel, so the ECM automatically assumed that there was excessive airflow? Also the air would be rather thick since the temps are in the teens. Could the clogged filter combined w/ the dense air be causing this lean condition? I changed the last night and the SES light didn't like automatically come on, but @ a stoplight it did. So shut the car off, and restarted it, and no light, no lean condition/stumbling. It's confusing, and since TomP will most likely stumble over this... remember when I was having mega probs when the motor would barely run, it would take forever to get to 60 etc.... I recall saying that sometimes I'd hear a loud rumble from the fuel pump and the car would go haywire, and basically idle irratically, and I'd have to shut the car off, and restart it and it would be fine. It's been doing that every once in a while.. And ideas. The ignition is good. airfilters are new, no air intake restrictions. New exhaust, good backpressure. fuel is good, lines aren't leaking, pump is new, filter is new.
Any ideas???
