2.8 with 160,000, with oil leak at valve covers, and until yesterday goin strong. read my post (PLEASE!!!). only mods: bosch platinum +4 plugs, FireWire 8.5 mm wires
8000 on motor, 0 on tranny (just had her rebuilt and i'll be bringing her home tomarrow. Oh, get this, got a corvette servo, line pressure was boosted, and the guys made me a shift kit, all for $800 not to shabby) and the original motor had 233,000 before death, and the tranny went 239,000 wait a minute, then i only have 6k on the motor. gotta love math.
My friend's beater is an '86 Camaro SC 2.8 with 155k miles. And this thing has had 5 owners who have all beat the crap out of it!!! (he knows all 5 owners).

149,900 miles. It's starting to burn a little bit more oil so i'm starting to worry. I HOPE it's not the rings. After i ran my motor for 10 seconds with no oil i've worried about the rings. Tranny is fine. Fuel pump *might* be dying.

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!
