How much more hp if i port my heads?(2.8) - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

For right now what i want to do since im only 16 and have no money for a v8 i want to go to a junkyard and pull a 3.1 or 3.4(harder to find around here) shortblock and port and polish my heads on my 2.8 and port the intake and put that on the 3.1 block.I would like to add a cam but ill be honest i would know how to change one if my life depended on it.How much hdo u think i would get?

Really, do like I did.
Go get the solution.
A 3.4 long block & go have fun.
I'll bet you can get one for under $500! EASY!
Especially in you area.
I'll bet machining will easily go over that budget.
