2.8L Tranny mounts

Hi,
I recall an earlier topic regarding what mounts are used for an 1988 2.8L Camaro so I would like to contribute some usefull information for this model year/engine combination. Moderator, if you would like to lock this out, I can't stop you but from doing so but at least to a certain degree we can a clear up some confusion/misunderstandings.

The 1988 Camaro Tranny mounts listed in the GM "Parts and Illustration" catalog are noted as follows:

P/N--------Trans. Type---------ENG. DESIG.
==========================================
14106633---(CHEV)MB1(5-speed)---LB8--PG0-95,1
17989705---(PONT)MB1(5-speed)---LB8--PGO-95,7
17989705---MD8(THM700-R4)-------LO3
17982257---M39(5-speed)---------L03--PGO-96,2
17982257---(CHEV)MD8(THM700-R4)-LB8,LO3
14106633---(PONT)MD8(THM700-R4)-LB8

L03 - V8
LB8 - V6

MB1 was used in V6s only
M39 (Model/ASSM. code "DT" in 1986) was used in V8s.

Also, the 1988 V8 had 2 atuo mount P/Ns. The key is the designation which I am not able to decipher at the moment.

According to the parts breakout, the 1988 Camaro equipped with a V6 (Chevy auto) used the same mount as the V8 equipped with a
M39 5-speed.

The V6 equipped with a 5-speed used the same mount (14106633) as the V6 3.1 5-speed used in 1991. The list price for this mount was $58.50 This mount was not used for any other year/model combination.

This is whats stated in the GM manual for 1982-91 F bodies. I obviously cannot verify or cross reference what the aftermarket mounts are used for according to their part numbering scheme.

Hope this info helps.
