My firebird is acting up?

ok evey now and then when i'm driving down the road, my service engine soom light will come on, and my car will kind of bog down, not very much, but enuff so if i'm trying to get on the highway it will have trouble getting up to speed, like its lost some power, but as soon as the light goes off it regains power and throws me back in the seat, i don't understand, it will sometimes come on when the car is just sitting still, and when i try to accelerate, half petal is like i'm hardly touching the gas, and full petal is what it would feel like if i had a 4 cylinder in it, what could be wrong? thanks

Get us the computer code first. From the main page of thirdgen.org, choose "FAQ" from the left bar. Then choose the "Miscellaneous" section. Go all the way to the bottom and you'll see how to pull your codes and interpret them.

On your ALDL connector, you'd use the top row, the RIGHTMOST two pins, for the code scan. Ignore the bottom row.

Re: My firebird is acting up?

My car does something like that. Its like i'm loosing power, when i press the gas petal some times the power is there and some times its not. my check engine comes on at times and goes off, the code read was for the oxgen sensor, the engine is vibebrating alot at times when the power seems to be lost. someone it might be my fuel fiter.
