how much money to swap in 3.8 SFI turbo

how much would it cost to buy a 3.8 SFI turbo from gnx or tta ? or should i go with 4.3 from junk yard and tear into it. I would like to get 500 RWHP. I dont know much about v6 engines, so be nice. THANKS!

depends really. I think u could end up spending close to 6500 for a good condition drive train which can be swapped in right away and drive it. i looked before and to get the complete 3.8 with no trans was 5k... thats with 34k miles on it.

Someone on either turbobuick.com or turbobuicks.com is parting out a TTA. His prices look resonable. Check it out pn the TTA message board.
