ECM aftermarket??? Where can I get one?

I just want to know where to get a stock ECM? (Not GM stock either, it was alot cheaper than 1800)

Story behind it
Actually this is not for my car. My G/F Brother has an S-10 and the ECM went. He wants to get another one as soon as possible. I remember reading on here months ago where to get a stock aftermarket one for a good price, but can't remembet where.

The junkyard is your friend. Since you're dealing with an S10 I have no idea about interchangability... For a thirdgen there are multiple cars that use the same ECM's...

Yeah, the junk-yard is the idea, but I know I saw new ECM (stock) that is, posted on here way back for less than $200 on some parts site (NEW) I was in shock.

The problem with the junkyard is something like a computer, if it doesn't work your out the $75 you paid for it... so If you could get a new one for 200 with warrenty that would be better.
