DON'T remove the mass airflow screen .I know , I did it .BUT , alot of people have idling problems after they do it (rough idle) I guess I just lucked up .Plus some people damage the maf when they are removing it , and a replacement is not cheap ! .....Gutting the cat , you really don't want to do that either .You will not notice that much difference .Then you won't be able to pass emmissions .Your car will also reek of exhaust smell .I have my cat gutted , but I have a high flow one Im about to put on there .I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT ON ! .Im tired of the smell !

honest if the car is running right you shouldn't have that bad of a smell

I know my rx7 with a test pipe in there didn't reak till I had some problems with fuel and I started to run rich

then it was rank

and that is going from 3 cats to no cats

also if you are wanting to remove the cat I would say put a test pipe in there since you would get better results and also if yo uever did need to pass emissions then you could always bolt the oem cat back up and pass

'the silentencer"? you mean the baffles? cut them out. I take it you have the TPI y style intake. Cut the bottoms out basically.

A gutted cat? spend the 60 bucks and get a high flow cat from summit or someone else, makes car happy for higher flow and EPA happy for smog.
