All your work will be detailed and easy!
It is a swap, tho.
If electronics ran well before it'll do so next time ya turn the key.
Didn't see your pics, sounds like a real mission to do so.
Try this place www.picturetrail.com
Would enjoy seeing your pics.
I'll be getting a 3.4 for my 85 Blazer in about 2- weeks or so.
Wish I could see your "Y" Pipe you got.
I just got a 1981 Volvo "Y" pipe set up ("J" bend from engine manifold, twin long perralel (sp?) pipes into a smooth HI-Flo "Y" for the CC).
I hope pipe diameter is the same as my Firebird. "Looks" real close!
REALLY REALLY HAPPY FOR YA.
YOU WILL SO ENJOY YOUR EFFORTS/REWARDS!!
That all depends on what type program you are using to view/ edit the pictures. In most programs if you chose File ---> Save As there should be a couple of options. one of which will be picture quality (once again wording depends on the program). Chose the lowest quality. It doesn't really chage the picture except for maybe around the verry edges you might see a slight ghosting. For the most part you wont even notice it. This should get your image size down to around 40 - 50 K (perfect for 56K modems) belive it or not.
Hmmm, looks just like the one I got (till I tore it apart)...... And your engine stand looks just like the one I got from Harbor Freight. Are you rebuilding or just dropping it in?

That is SO FUNNY
MY EYES POPPED WHEN I SAW MY CAR ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN!!
My front nose isn't painted yet.
I'll bet, look under the driver side back seat, you'll find your build sheet.
I'll bet you have a F41/Y99 package on that car.
Auto, console, AC, black dash, tan vinyl interior, idiot light dash, AM/FM, black seat belts, THICK FRONT BAR & THICK REAR BAR, you have my wheels (front 2!)
Was your car built, Van Nuys & around 12/84? Look on door for info of build date. What is the date on the driver side mirror? It's etched at edge.
YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME TO FIX THE FRONT NOSE OF MY FIREBIRD! Wrecking yards, here I come! Just got compressor and had body tools, need air hose & fittings.
Y pipe fitting..... bring both to a muffler shop.
BUT I'd suggest hooking up current as is stock system, then dial in car, then attack exhaust pipes.
Your hood is raised exactly where I suggest for a Firebird, that corner for extra air.
Awaiting docker to post pics of my hokey/butcher air intake job.
Do the 3.4 SWAP BOOGIE, so worthwhile and MILES OF SMILES
I do have the Y99 suspension, no build sheet under the seat, but found the option list the dealership had w/the owners manual. I have full instumentation, no idiot lights . Those front wheels I bought separate, the origonals were the gold 14" wheel covers w/the firechicken in it. My post "Pics" has the links.
For the Y-pipe, I'll most likely do a test fit w/the 3.4 pipe after the 2.8 block is removed to check feasability.
Do you have source for old Pontiac Part numbers?
From 60's 70's?
I have a 1965 or 1966 part, need car it fits on.
Not a GTO, drat.
I think Big car (Bonneville Grand Prix)
