Truly one-of-a-kind find! Bought this a couple of years ago at a street sale in Crestview Hills, KY, from the original owner, who purchased it new in April of 1989 from Suburban Chevrolet in Erlanger, KY. Owner was in his 50s at the time and just getting out of a divorce, so it was his 'dating' car. Always garaged, never driven in snow/winter/salt and rarely in the rain. 100% original except for shocks, exhaust, brakes and tires. Mileage at time of transfer was just over 64,000 mi, and he had put an average of less than 500 miles per year on it since 2002.
Only visible defects are a few thin spots on the original factory cloth top and a small tear in the drivers seat at the side seam. Original equipment is: 5.0 L V-8 TBFI 170 HP, 4spd-auto w/OD, 2.73 axle ratio, air conditioning, cruise control, interval wipers, tilt steering column, power windows/locks, Delco ETR AM-FM Stereo/Auto-Reverse with Music Search Cassette/5-Band equalizer/Clock.
I've owned several Camaros over the years. My first was 1968 Z-28 (Yeah, THAT one with the monster 302!) 4-spd that I bought in 1970 from a buddy who was going to 'Nam. It was red with the white hood and deck lid stripes and the console gauge package and 17K on the clock. I ended up selling it when I got married and had a house and kids. Wish I had THAT ONE back... Second one was a '71 SB V-8 auto in dark green that the ex got in the divorce. Third one was a roached '69 convertible I-6 with a console shift 3-spd that never quite lived up to my expectations.
