| This is my 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I named her "Artemis" after the Greek goddess of the hunt, thinking she would be a huge chick magnet. Yeah right! Instead, I get stopped by guys asking to look under the hood and check out the car in general. I recently got pulled over at a checkpoint because the cop said he had a car just like her back in the 80s and wanted to get a closer look. I bought Artemis in April '02 with 17,610 original miles (spent a lot of time in the garage) and have been taking great care of her ever since. She's won a few trophies at various car shows around NY/NJ and mainly comes out on weekends when the weather is nice. The only significant performance modifications are a set of Spohn sub-frame connectors that I had welded in a few years ago. Otherwise, she is bone stock. LU5 (Type S) 5.0L 305 Cross-Fire V8 |
