| 1982... The first time I saw an all-new, third-generation Z28, I knew I had to have one, and I got one! It was a 1982 Z28, black with t-tops and the silver-grey custom cloth interior(pic 4 to the right). I sold the '82 in 1983 when I ordered my 1983 Z28 HO(L69)/5-speed. It was also black, but with the charcoal custom cloth interior(pic 3). It was stolen in 1986 and never recovered. Then late in 1986, I ordered my 1987 Formula(pix 1 and 2), and I still have it. It turned 20 years old in December, 2006, and it's been, by far, my favorite and the best of all three thirdgens I've owned! And in April, 2007, I acquired a 1989 Firebird Convertible(pix 5 and 6). It's the first one I haven't ordered new, so it's still hard to call it "mine." It's gonna be a 'project,' getting a from-the-ground-up, all-new, restore/rebuild/facelift, comprised of my favorite stock parts from throughout the third generation era, plus a few custom touches. It'll make an excellent stablemate for my original Formula?!
