| always tinkerin's '85 Chevy Berlinetta | |||
| Well, it's almost 2008! Time to update my garage. Last winter, I raised the compression of the engine to 13.2, switched to E85, and added a Super Victor intake. I also went back to the old TH350/4500 stall and 4th gen 4:10 gears. Out of the three passes made, it went a best of 10.97 at 125.28 N/A with plenty of tire spin. Clearly it could use more suspension/chassis tuning, but my night was ended short by spun main bearings. This winter I will be fine tuning the oiling system and the bottom end clearances to correct my oil starvation issues. Good luck on your project! Thanks for looking, Jesse |

| mw66nova | VERY NICE BERLINETTA! is it still stock style suspension? | 12-19-2006 |
| always tinkerin | Stock STYLE, yes. Except for the coil overs and a-arms up front. It has a Spohn torque arm for the rear. | 04-12-2007 |
| KWIK84 | what syle of coil overs did you install? I have been looking at the Chris Alston's but can't find any review information on them. | 08-02-2007 |
| always tinkerin | The coil over kit is from Spohn Performance. I like it. So far it seems to be holding up pretty well, and I like the adjustability | 08-03-2007 |
| Barry Newman | Curious, what have you done about the console? have you created a custom console for a stick shift and a aftermarket radio? you must have a stick in that thing and unfortunantly, there is no way to mount a aftermarket radio in the console that was designed for the swivel tape deck. Nice car, a little more extreme than mine! | 09-06-2007 |
| always tinkerin | I have a TH350 auto with a B&M ratchet shifter that is finessed into the stock plastic console. The car is so loud inside unfortunately, that even an exotic system would be difficult to hear. In place of the stereo is an aluminum plate with a couple of vital guages. Simple yet effective. The dash panel is painted aluminum plate with digital guages. Sorry I don't have a better picture for you...I've lost it. | 12-12-2007 |
